About Us

Thozhil Abhyasana Peedam Pvt.ITI is an Industrial Training Institute recognized by Director of Employment and Training Kerala and Permanent Affiliation was granted by the Director General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour New Delhi. It prepares trainees for the National Trade Certificate (NTC).

Thozhil Abhyasana Peedam Pvt.ITI has completed by now 46 years of its existence. It was started by Rev Fr.Paul Poovathinkal under the management of Thrissur Archdiocese at Kachery in 1979. H.E Rt.Rev.Dr.Joseph kundukulam, Bishop of Thrissur was the first patron of this Industrial Training Institute. The ultimate aim of this Institute is to give victorious training to the candidates who step into the Institute. Our brilliant success in imparting theoretical and practical studies of different engineering trades remains due to possession of very good laboratories and workshop attached to the institute. We give successful training courses (NCVT) in Draughtsman (CIVIL), Electronic Mechanic, Electrician and Fitter.

Our present patron is H.G.Mar Andrews Thazhath, Metropolitan Arch Bishop of Thrissur. Rev. Mgr.Jose konikkara is the Manager and Rev.Fr.Jijo Kappilamnirappel is the Assistant Manager. Mr. M.I. Paul is the Principal.

Vision

It prepares the trainees for nurturing Multi-skills and Establishing Self employment schemes in different Industrial areas.

Curriculum

The syllabus prescribed by the NCVT for National Trade Certificate Examination in the respective courses will generally include the subjects viz. Professional Skill (Trade Practical), Professional Knowledge (Trade Theory), Engineering Drawing, Workshop Calculation & Science and Employability Skills. In addition to this a candidate is entrusted to make/do project work and extracurricular activities to build up confidence.

Admission Criteria

Age for Admission is 15 years and should not exceed 25 years. The applicant must have passed Matriculation. Each candidate has to submit the prescribed printed application form duly filled.
